POP3 (Post Office Protocol 3) is the most recent version of a standard protocol for receiving e-mail. POP3 is a client/server protocol in which e-mail is received and held for you by your Internet server. Periodically, you (or your client e-mail receiver) check your mailbox on the server and download any mail. POP3 is built into the Netmanage suite of Internet products and one of the most popular e-mail products, Eudora. It's also built into the Netscape and Microsoft Internet Explorer browsers.
Internet Message Access Protocol (IMAP) is a standard protocol for accessing e-mail from your local server. IMAP (the latest version is IMAP4) is a client/server protocol in which e-mail is received and held for you by your Internet server. You (or your e-mail client) can view just the heading and the sender of the letter and then decide whether to download the mail. You can also create and manipulate folders or mailboxes on the server, delete messages, or search for certain parts or an entire note. IMAP requires continual access to the server during the time that you are working with your mail.

| POP3 / IMAP / Webmail Accounts - These are the actual accounts you can configure for each user. You can also use these accounts to forward your email to another address. Each of these accounts can be used as a catchall account to accept all email for accounts that are not already configured. |
| Forwarding Accounts - Allows you to forward your email to another email address. You can even configure a catchall account. A catchall account will accept all email that does not already have a destination account configured. |
| Autoresponders / Mail Robots - A unique functionality that will allow you to automatically reply to any email and will forward the email to the appropriate address. |
| Mailing List - Create your own custom mailing list to send emails to all of your customers at one time. |
| Webmail - Allows users to read and send outgoing email with an easy web interface. |
Domain Mail Alias - If you already have a domain's email being administered in DNS Made Easy you can set up alias for another domain. This can be set up on a domain level to save you time creating forwards for each user.
Example: username@domain2.com will be an alias to username@domain1.com.
Note: Due to our low pricing Backup Mail services are not included with Domain Aliases even if they are attached to a package that includes backup mail. These should be purchased separately. |
If your ISP does not have an outgoing SMTP service that you can use for your domain's email then you combine these products with DNS Made Easy's SMTP Services for a complete incoming and outgoing mail solution for your business.

For your protection and to make sure that your email is always delivered appropriately DNS Made Easy monitors our services for users that might try to abuse the services. We also use many industry standard RBLs such as Spamhaus to keep your emails as clean as possible.
In the rare case that any user does use DNS Made Easy's email services for Spam , UCE, or UBE then their full DNS Made Easy account will be terminated without refund. All email, and DNS services will be stopped immediately. This is in accordance to our TOS and Legal Disclaimer.
Note: You "do not" need to use DNS Made Easy DNS for your domain to use our POP / IMAP / Webmail services. You can add the appropriate MX records for your domain on any system you are currently using.
